Data pooling

You do not want to "use a sledgehammer to crack a nut"?

Some branches require very individual data. This is closely connected with the cost-benefit relationship of the data and services applied.

In branches with low risks of bad debt loss (due to very high margins or low goods values) for example, a credit rating check may not have the desired effect, because possibly the cost of a credit rating check is too high compared with the risk of bad debt loss, or the relevance of the applied data is too low when assessing the risk of bad debt loss.

In such cases, arvato infoscore offers data pool solutions for individual and sector-specific requirements. In data pooling, we distinguish between branch pools and functional pools:

Branch pools

In branch pools, data from a particular branch that is highly relevant for assessing a customer's risk is stored and provided. This data can be accessed exclusively by companies from that particular branch. It is mandatory that a company registers itself (principle of give and take).

Functional pools

Data that can be used to solve a defined assignment is stored in functional pools. Generally, such assignments are cross-sectoral. Depending on how the rules of the pool have been defined, there are neither restrictions on accessing data nor qualifications that only registered companies may draw on data.
